Beginning crochet teaches the basics of crochet. A chain, a single , a half double, a double crochet, increasing, decreasing, and how to read a pattern are part of a two times two hour session.

Beginning Drawing explores drawing from direct observation with an emphasis on space, volume, linear and free hand perspective, and other basic techniques and concepts.

Beginning Painting: using acrylic paints, the class will lead students through the basics of color theory, color mixing and paint application on a variety of surfaces.

Basic Calligraphy is taught with a hand dipping pen and ink. Care of equipment, holding and inking the pen, guidelines and paper, pen angles and letter formations, will be taught. Depending on the duration of the courses, up to five basic lettering alphabets can be learned.
